Cancellation, Refund and Service Policy

Thank you for choosing Richard Delaney as your coach to enhance your acting skills. This policy outlines the terms and conditions for booking, cancelling, and refunding coaching sessions and workshops, as well as other important service information.
1. Booking and Payment
1.1. Individual sessions, workshops, and block bookings can be booked through the website https://RichardDDelaney.com/ or by contacting richard@RichardDDelaney.com.
1.2. Full payment is required at the time of booking to secure your slot, unless prior agreement has been sought for an alternative arrangement.
1.3. Payments are processed through Klarna in UK Sterling (GBP). Please note that Klarna's terms and conditions may supersede this policy in matters related to payments, cancellations, and refunds. Please review Klarna's terms at the time of checkout.
1.4. Block booking discounts:

10% off block booking of 10 sessions

5% off block booking of 5 sessions
1.5. A 10% union discount is available for Equity members. Proof of membership is required at the time of booking. Failure to produce proof may result in the discount being revoked and the client being billed for the additional fee.
1.6. Recent graduate discounts are available with evidence of graduation date, which can be provided through the client's Spotlight CV showing their training dates.
2. Rescheduling and Cancellations
2.1. Cancellations are not possible within 48 hours of the scheduled session.
2.2. Rescheduling requests made within 24-48 hours of the scheduled session may be accommodated, subject to availability.
2.3. Cancellations made more than 48 hours before the scheduled session will be refunded, minus a £10 administration fee.
2.4. For sessions requiring rehearsal studio hire, clients may still be liable for the full cost of studio hire in the event of cancellation, as these are managed by third parties with their own terms and conditions.
2.5. Rescheduled appointments, where permitted and arranged within the stipulated timelines, may require additional payment for studio hire due to third-party management.
2.6. Missed sessions without prior notification will be considered as conducted, and no refund or credit will be issued.
2.7. For cancellations or rescheduling, please contact via email or phone if urgent/short notice.
3. Block Bookings and Gift Certificates
3.1. Due to their discounted nature, no refunds are available for block bookings.
3.2. Block bookings must be used within the stipulated timeframes specified at the point of purchase.
3.3. Unused sessions in a block booking may not be transferred to another person.
3.4. Gift certificates have a 12-month expiry from the date of purchase.
4. Online Sessions
4.1. Online coaching sessions are subject to the same terms and conditions as in-person sessions.
5. Workshops
5.1. Workshops advertised and sold through my website are subject to these policies.
5.2. For workshops run by other institutions where I am employed, attendees should reference the organization's cancellation policy through which they made the purchase.
5.3. For workshops sold via Eventbrite, the cancellation policy will be listed along with the event details.
6. Cancellations by Richard Delaney
6.1. In the rare event that I need to cancel or reschedule a session, I will provide as much notice as possible.
6.2. You will be offered the choice of rescheduling or receiving a full refund for the cancelled session.
6.3. No cancellation fee will be charged for sessions that I have to cancel.
7. Force Majeure
7.1. In the event of circumstances beyond my control (such as natural disasters, severe illness, etc.), I will attempt to accommodate clients where possible.
7.2. Refunds may not be possible if I am also not refunded (e.g., if a hired studio refuses to refund due to their own force majeure policy).
7.3. In such cases, I may offer to conduct the session at an alternative location, such as my home or the client's home, if feasible.
8. Refund Processing
8.1. Refunds will be processed as soon as possible, but please allow up to 7-10 working days for the refund to appear in your account.
9. Recording and Confidentiality
9.1. No recordings of sessions are permitted without prior consent.
9.2. I operate a policy of client confidentiality. I will not use clients and their status, acclaim, or celebrity for publicity purposes without prior consent.
10. Age Restrictions
10.1. Clients under 16 should have their bookings confirmed by a parent or guardian prior to the session.
10.2. I do not usually work with children unless attached to a professional project.
11. Outstanding Fees
11.1. No further lessons will be able to be booked without settling any fees due.
12. Coaching Etiquette and Inclusivity
12.1. I foster an inclusive learning environment. Hate speech, non-inclusive language, or discriminatory actions will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of services without refund.
12.2. Punctuality is requested. Late arrivals may result in shortened sessions to accommodate subsequent appointments.
13. Liability Waiver
13.1. While every effort is made to ensure your safety during our sessions, you understand and agree that Richard Delaney shall not be held liable for any personal injury or property damage occurring during or resulting from participation in coaching sessions or workshops.
13.2. You acknowledge that acting and performance coaching may involve physical activities, and you participate at your own risk.
13.3. You are responsible for informing me of any physical or mental health conditions that may affect your participation in the sessions.
14. Dispute Resolution
14.1. In the event of any dispute arising from or relating to this policy or the services provided, both parties agree to first attempt to resolve the dispute through good-faith negotiation.
14.2. If the dispute cannot be resolved through negotiation, both parties agree to attempt to resolve the dispute through mediation before resorting to arbitration, litigation, or some other dispute resolution procedure.
14.3. Any mediation or arbitration will take place in [Your City/County], United Kingdom, and be conducted in the English language.
15. Disclaimer
15.1. While coaching sessions and workshops aim to enhance acting skills, success in the acting industry cannot be guaranteed solely through coaching.
16. Modification of Policy
16.1. I reserve the right to modify this policy at any time. Changes will be communicated via the website or email to participants.
By booking any of my services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the terms and conditions outlined in this policy, as well as Klarna's terms and conditions where applicable.
