Viewpoints and composition

COMING SOON

Having been introduced to The Nine Viewpoints whilst undertaking his masters at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama and undertaken workshops with both Anne Bogart and Mary Overlie, Richard has continued to work with the practice both as a maker, trainer and coach. He has taken his practice to numerous institutions and taught it as a skills class and used it within rehearsals to build ensemble and develop theatre language.

Richard has previously taught this work at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, LAMDA, Mountview, BOLD Elephant and Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company, and will be opening up his practice in the months to come, and offering it to working professionals to expand their practice.

Through the work, Richard will heighten your ability to make dynamic choices, further your understanding of composition and grow your sensory awareness as a performer as he takes you on a deeper interrogation of time and space.

from the sublime to the ridiculous

COMING SOON

Richard will be launching a new series of his 'From The Sublime To The Ridiculous' workshops for professional actors, looking at ways to free impulse and make dynamic choices.

These workshops will play with the body in space, improvisation and script work, exploring the concepts that everything is information for the actor, that everything goes through the body, and striving to never find balance.

Through this practice, which encourages the actor to use pleasure as their guide, you will work to unearth impulses, impulsiveness and intuition to discover in the doing. This work will shake the cobwebs off your process and enable you to find a freshness in your performance each and every time.

This series of workshops will be offered on a drop-in basis and discounts will be offered for block bookings.

Places will be limited at each session. Sign up for advanced notice when booking opens.
