Following sell-out runs in both London and Edinburgh, and ahead of its transfer to 59E59, New York, as part of Brits Off-Broadway, New Diorama Theatre's Secret Life Of Humans has now been published by Nick Hern Books.

In 1949, scientist and mathematician Dr Jacob Bronowski installs a hidden, locked room in his house. Fifty years later, his grandson discovers the secrets contained in the locked room, unearthing echoes from across six million years of human history.

Secret Life Of Humans was devised by the company and written by NDT's Artistic and Executive Director, David Byrne. He is a playwright and theatre director who also co-directed the production for Edinburgh, London and New York.

The play text can be purchased here.

It takes your breath away."
